John Bradley

John Bradley

John Bradley, originally from Wetherby in West Yorkshire, is the owner and principal jeweller. He has a first-class degree in Metalworking and Jewellery Design from Sheffield, together with over twenty five years’ experience in designing and creating extraordinary jewellery.

John spent two years working in mainstream commercial jewellery manufacture prior to founding Dot the Jewellers. His experiences there, replicating standardised or traditional patterns for a mass-produced market, confirmed his strong desire to produce new and original designs of his own.

Alongside his strong understanding of materials and techniques, the motivation of wondering ‘what happens if we..?’ allows John’s designs to drive form and style into new directions. The manufacture of each piece is a creative process truly individual to each client, resulting in a high quality, bespoke piece of jewellery as individual as its owner.

The Workshop

The Workshop

Our workshop was established in 1994 and our first retail premises was in the prestigious Redbrick Mill development near Dewsbury. In 2007 our showroom and workshop moved to the tranquil World Heritage Site of Saltaire. As artisan jewellers, we specialise in making individual pieces of precious jewellery from scratch, creating innovative designs that reflect our clients’ taste and distinctive style in a way that is only possible with a bespoke jeweller.

Each piece is created by hand in our workshop without mass-produced designs or parts. Dot jewellery is unique, an exclusive piece which perfectly complements that special occasion – wedding, engagement, birthday, or anniversary.
